Not If You're Responsible That Is
There's has been a lot of fuss in the news lately over vape cartridges and their possible negative effects. With accusations ranging from lung illnesses all the way to death, it's important to stay informed. Is it fake news or is it the real deal? Don't worry, we're here to set the record straight.
What Is the Problem Then?
Something is out there and it's getting people sick, but what could be causing it? It seems to be stemming from one of two bad apples. Cannabis vape pens from illicit sources or the unregulated e-cig market.
The latter is easy enough to explain. E-Cigarettes remain Federally unregulated, meaning there are no standards over how they are produced. Unlike cannabis oil, you don't need a special license to create it. With no mandatory contaminant testing there is no telling what you're putting in your lungs!
Is My Cart Real?
The easiest way to be certain is make sure you're only buying from licensed sources. Any licensed dispensary in California is going to have clean, laboratory tested products. That means no filler, no additives, and definitely no pesticides. But here are some easy tips to follow too
- The package lists the Batch Number and Manufacturing Location
- The packaging is tamper evident and the seal is unbroken
- No "well known" brand names (Sorry, Nintendo and Kellogg's aren't making vape pens)
- If it tastes bad, throw it away
